5:00 VIP Tasting Begins (3-Season Room) (4 tastings)

6:45 p.m. Food Service begins & all tasting stations available

  • Seated bourbon tastings in the Founders Room every 60 minutes

  • Seated craft brew tastings in the 3-Season Room every 60 minutes

  • Drop-in bourbon & brews tasting throughout the main lodge

Each guest can enjoy 10 tastings of their choice in addition to our special opening fireside tasting. These tasting can include any variety of craft brews, bourbons or a mixed drink.

VIP Craft Brew Tasting Experience

​

  • Sparkling Mead – Broken Brix ​
    • Off-dry with cherry and apple aromas. Silver Medal winner at the 2022 Mead Crafters Competition. Unfiltered cider with notes of bruised apples.
  • ATOM Smasher – Two Brothers Brewing Company​
    • A heft, full-bodied lager reminiscent of Marzen beers from days gone by. However, this beer is aged in our oak foudres to add a complexity unmatched by the imported version of Oktoberfest beers today.

  • Bourbon Country Backyard Stout – Goose Island  Imperial Stout​

    • A heft, full-bodied lager reminiscent of Marzen beers from days gone by. However, this beer is aged in our oak foudres to add a complexity unmatched by the imported version of Oktoberfest beers today.​

  • Shock Top Pretzel

    • Twisted Pretzel Wheat delivers a delicious taste & aroma of bakery-fresh pretzels in a Belgian-style unfiltered wheat ale.​

VIP Bourbon Tasting Experience

​

  •  W. L. Weller Full Proof (Blue)​
    • Having a nose of vanilla, dark cherries and caramel. On the palate, there is a balance of caramel and toasted oak. The finish is said to be long, with notes of crème brûlée and chocolate.
  • W. L. Weller Antique​ (Red)
    • Sweet and unusual floral notes and coupled with vanilla. The taste is very well balanced with sweet fruit notes, strong vanilla undertone and sharp spicy tones, with a cinnamon finish.
  • W. L. Weller Special Reserve (Green)

    • A sweet nose with a presence of caramel. Tasting notes of honey, butterscotch, and a soft woodiness. It's smooth, delicate and calm. Features a smooth finish with a sweet honeysuckle flair.​

  • W.L. Weller 12 Year (Black)

    • This bourbon is rich and complex with Aromas of lanolin, almond, creamed corn and toasty vanilla. The mid-palate flavor is heavily wheated, layered and moderately sweet. Long, oaky, and intensely smooth finish.​

Bourbon Tastings Experience

  • Whiskey Acres (Main Lodge)​

    • Enjoy three special selections from Whiskey Acres Distillery. This local farm to still process produces amazing results. ​

  • Dragon’s Milk Bourbon (3-Season Porch)

    • Aged for one year in hand-selected bourbon barrels, the flavor notes of Dragon's Milk – chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, and oak – are all amplified in a way that allows for balanced and refinement to shine through.​

  • Koval Bourbon (Main Lodge)

    • The unusual grain combination provides notes of mango chutney and vanilla on the palate, with a peppery caramel finish.

  • Koval Rye (Main Lodge)

    • Mellow and somewhat sweet notes of maple and candy corn, ending with a classically spicy finish.

  • Koval Single Barrel Amburana Barrel Finished Rye Whiskey (Main Lodge)

    • Serving a very sweet, spicy, and grain-forward palate, this single-barrel Whiskey captivates with its smooth notes of cardamom, coconut, and cinnamon.

  • Buffalo Trace Kosher Wheat 

    • There is an initial punch of caramel, nougat, and some vanilla, but a fair amount of cinnamon and baking spice are present to balance the sweet notes. Finish – the finish is medium and predominantly sweet. 

  • Buffalo Trace Bourbon

    • Buffalo Trace Bourbon is a smooth, well-balanced whiskey with notes of caramel, vanilla, and a hint of oak, complemented by subtle spices. Its rich, mellow flavor profile makes it versatile for sipping neat or in classic bourbon cocktails.​

  • Eagle Rare 10 year barrel pick 

    • The nose is complex, with aromas of toffee, hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak. The taste is bold, dry and delicate with notes of candied almonds and very rich cocoa. The finish is dry and lingering.

​Water Changes Everything: 7:30, 8:30 & 9:30 p.m. (Founders Room)​

  • Old Forester Rye 

    • Spice awakens immediately leading with sharp black pepper and cinnamon stick, rounding out with notes of dried dill and baked apple. 

  • Old Forester Single Barrel Rye 

    • Dessert forward, creamy vanilla and lemon custard, alongside rich caramel and dark brown sugar. 

  • Old Grandad 114 proof  

    • Enjoy the bouquet of spice, cinnamon, and rye heat before it gives way to a fierce yet fruity body that licks with fire and finishes with a candied cinnamon flurry.

Brew Tasting Experience

  •  Dragon’s Milk Stout (3 Season Porch)​

    • Layered malt aromas of roast, chocolate, coffee, and caramel are supported by dried-fruit notes and a hint of oak. The flavor is a mash-up of dried fruit, sherry, chocolate, and caramel, with a boozy warmth.​

  • 93 Octane (Main Lodge)

    • Enjoy two special selections from 93 Octane. This local brewery car-themed products won't leave you "tire-d". Great tastes abound. ​

  • Church Street Brewing Company Itascafest Märzen (Main Lodge)

    • A subtle, toasty aroma with a hint of caramel, and a rich, deep malt character fully fleshed out with a double decoction mash and Weyerman’s world class German malt.

  • Church Street Brewing Company Skulling Russian Imperial Stout (Main Lodge)

    • Ten different malts meld together to create waves of flavor. Bold roast, notes of dark caramel and honey combine for a full bodied stout. ​

  • Drifting Canoe – Riverlands (3-Season Porch)

    • Pineapple, dank peaches, citrus in the nose. The taste contrasts, starting with a firm, clean bitterness before jumping into a bouquet of grapefruit, tangerine, pine, diesel, followed by a background malt sweetness.

  • Waves Seltzer: Lavender Lemonade – Riverlands (Outside Deck)

    • Real lavender and lemon create a swirling deluge of flavor in this light, refreshing beverage. Grain and Gluten Free, made with real fruit puree.

  • Mango Sorbet Mead - B. Nektar  (Outside Deck)

    • Bright and crisp with fruity mango, sweet honey, and citrus notes. Light-bodied and clean with a lingering subtle black peppercorn finish.

  • Zombie Killer Cider – B. Nektar (Outside Deck)  

    • Tart cherry sweetness upfront with full, yet crisp fermented cider. Heavy apple skin compliments the cherry. Sweet, creamy honey rounds the flavor and balances the tartness of the cherry.
